Before your waxing appointment, avoid sun exposure and tanning for 48 hours, exfoliate gently 2–3 days prior, and ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long. Skip retinoids and strong peels one week before to reduce sensitivity and risk of irritation.
Waxing can cause temporary redness or mild irritation, especially after your first service. Our therapists apply soothing post-wax care to calm skin. Regular waxing often reduces sensitivity over time; patch tests are available for very reactive skin or first-time clients.
Facial waxing results usually last three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and hormonal factors. With regular appointments, hair often grows back finer and sparser. We can recommend a personalized schedule to help maintain smoothness and shape.
Some discomfort is normal, but our skilled estheticians use quick, precise techniques to minimize pain. We prep skin, use quality wax, and offer cooling and soothing products. Taking over-the-counter pain relief 30–60 minutes before can also help for particularly sensitive clients.
Waxing can contribute to ingrown hairs, but proper exfoliation, moisturization, and avoiding tight clothing help prevent them. We recommend gentle exfoliation two to three times weekly, use of calming serums after waxing, and regular waxing appointments to encourage even regrowth.
